From all of us at the Two by Two team, happy new year!
We’re officially starting the year next week with our first episode of 2026, and it’s going to be a great one. We recorded and published 50 subscriber-only episodes in 2025 (we took the last two weeks off), and I expect 2026 to be somewhat similar.
But we also want it to be a bit different. And one of the things I’m really looking forward to doing more of this year is involving you in our episodes.
That’s right—you.
We have some ideas on how to make that happen. Maybe we’ll ask you to send in voice notes with your hot takes, or perhaps more polls and surveys, or who knows, maybe even invite you to attend a live recording of a Two by Two episode. I think it’ll be fun.
Anyway, one of the things I want to do to kick off the year is to invite you to tell us what you think 2026 will be about. What are your predictions for companies, trends, and sectors this year? Who will be the winners and who will be the losers? What will peak and what will bottom out?
Initially, I wanted to do this as a survey, but then I figured there’s an even more fun way to collect your PoVs.
That’s right, I made a 2×2.
To do this, we frame our predictions along two axes: what happens in 2026, and whether those outcomes are expected or unexpected.
Here’s what it looks like:
You can make your predictions about anything. Perhaps they are companies that are going public (or have already gone public in 2025). Maybe it’s about a trend, like vibe-coding. Or perhaps it’s about India’s position in 2026 in one or more areas geopolitically. This doesn’t have to be elaborate. Pick one belief you feel strongly about, put it in a quadrant, and walk us through your reasoning. The more counterintuitive, the better.
We’ll share some of the best entries with you in future editions of the Two by Two newsletter. Please email us at [email protected]. We look forward to hearing from you.
Once again, happy new year from us.
See you next week!
Regards,
Praveen Gopal Krishnan
