Good morning [%first_name |Dear Reader%],
Hello everyone, how are you this fine Sunday morning?
This year’s summer feels like the shortest we’ve had in a long time. In Bengaluru, the heat has only been a hesitant acquaintance these past few days, which means that my wife and I have resumed our habit of taking early evening walks around our neighborhood lake whenever we get the chance.
It’s hard to explain the comfort of having a little piece of (mostly) unspoiled nature just a little walk away when you have to live the rest of your life surrounded by artifice. I’ve always been a city boy, and until I moved here, have exclusively lived in localities where nature could be had only at a premium. The wide open spaces, the scent of freshwater, the soaring kites and paddling ducks are all novelties that still haven’t worn off—three years and counting.
This particular week, we managed to get some pictures and videos of a few friends that we share the lake with. (And do forgive the quality of the images; we had to make do with the inadequate phone camera we had).
The rains, of course, have only made all this life that much more vibrant. And the views that much more arresting.
What can I say? Soul food.
Rohin will be back with his section on mental models, leadership, growth, and other cool things next week, but for today, here’s what Hari and I have for you.

1. New Visions for Health, Fitness, and Wellness
Nature is nourishing, but it’s only part of what keeps us in good health—in all the many ways you can define that phrase.
The Ken’s Beyond the First Order event series is back this month with a topic that should be of interest to all of you—“Achieving Vitality: New Visions for Health, Fitness, and Wellness”. And we have lined up a highly qualified and diverse panel of speakers whose knowledge we can tap to enrich our own journey of building healthier, happier lives.

I enjoy reading The Ken because it is informative, the articles are well researched, well written, without the spin and bias. I admire The Ken team for their dedication to getting closer to the true picture.

Transparent, Honest, Detailed. To me, The Ken has been this since the day I subscribed to them. The research that they put into each story and the way it is presented is thoroughly interesting. Personally, I’ve always had a great time interacting with the publication and reading the stories.

The Ken has proven naysayers wrong by successfully running a digital news publication on a pure-subscription business model in India. They have shown that discerning readers are willing to pay for well-researched, well-written, in-dept news articles.

Executive Chairperson, Biocon Limited
As a designer, it’s easy to get lost in the craft of building products. As a business owner however, keeping up with a rapidly changing landscape is key to saying relevant. The Ken doesn’t just help me stay on top of what’s happening in India(and beyond), but makes it fun to do so.
