Just two more days, and we welcome the new year!

Year’s end always makes you want to review, introspect, and imagine. If I tried to map out everything The Ken’s newsletters covered, it would be impossible and chaotic. Our topics ranged from credit cards to sweet shops.

Do you have a favourite newsletter? A favourite edition?

I am sure it’s hard to narrow down. From Make India Competitive AgainThe Ken, with its insights into India’s macroeconomic health, to Ka-Ching!The Ken, diving deep into fintech, to First PrinciplesThe Ken, making your Sundays meaningful—the variety is vast.

And we will keep expanding to ensure that you stay on top of everything in technology, business, and policy. Case in point: we launched Make India Competitive Again on 14 April this year, just days after the idea formed on 9 April. As our very first edition shows, Trump was the catalyst. But we have since moved on to graver issues, such as the shortage of insulin providers for India’s 100 million diabetics.

We also launched Zero ShotThe Ken, our very first opinion column headed by three very-opinionated people—Brady Ng, Rohin Dharmakumar, and Praveen Gopal Krishnan. Its promise was simple: to cover artificial intelligence in a holistic and consistent manner, leading to this one-of-a-kind multimedia product.

So yes, it’s been an eventful year.

After six successful years, we put The NutgrafThe Ken to rest. But as many subscribers have noted, its flair and punch live on in the Zero Shot columns. Some of The Nutgraf’s editions, such as ‘Going out of India is easier than going out in IndiaThe Ken’, remain evergreen, while others like ‘Bhavish Aggarwal is finally India’s Elon MuskThe Ken’ serve as nostalgic throwbacks.
